In Spanish we use the verb “hacer” or “to make” when talking about a barbecue or “asado”, but in English we either say “have a barbecue” or we just use “barbecue” as a verb by itself. For example, “Let’s have a family barbecue this Sunday!” or “Let’s barbecue next weekend to celebrate the 4th of July.” Here are some common words you’ll hear at a summer barbecue.
